Golf Aid UK Golf Day

It was all go at The Shire London on the morning of Thursday 20th August  getting teed up for the very first Golf Aid UK Golf Day. The club was buzzing whilst organisers & sponsors prepared for the prize packed day ahead ..............

Time for the team talk & reminder of what amazing two charities would benefit from the first Golf Aid UK Golf Day.

Sports Traider UK, a youth focused non profit charity making sports accessible for all, founded by Lance Haggith, BBC Sports Personality & also founder of Hoops Aid. Secondly The Golf Trust, a project aiming to bring people together through golf. Breaking barriers to grow participation and inclusion, founded by Cae Menai Davis Pro Golfer at The Shire London.

The day, organised by Helen Kotonias of HKC Management Ltd & Lance was a fun packed event with contests going on all around the stunning & certainly challenging Seve designed course. These were aimed to demonstrate what fun golf can be & of course helped to raise those all important funds that charities need to carry out their amazing work.

Amongst many other challenges on the day were Beat The Lady Pro from European Golf Challenge, Hickory Golf Club Challenge from Hickory Golf Days, Foot Pool & Snag Golf. A real variety & something for everyone which created a real buzz on the fairways and in & around the club house.

After the days golf The Shire London hosted a fabulous 3 course dinner for the 100 golfers. There was a prize giving, raffle & chance to watch some expert videography from Jim White of White23 Sports Event Media showing the highs, lows & bunker banter from the day. All in all a very successful event which raised over £5,000 for Sports Traider UK & The Golf Trust. Lots of smiles & fun had by all.

European Golf Challenge - The Grove Invitational

Monday 20th April 2015 was a glorious day for The Grove Invitational Golf Day. The prestigious championship venue hosts their annual event for their golf day clients. These include event organisers, D & G Partners, IMG Golf as well as many key corporate businesses & charities such as Games Aid UK who host their events at The Grove.

Beat the Lady Pro is one of the additions that is becoming more & more popular for golf days, so European Golf Challenge, who work closely with The Grove, were invited along to demonstrate how the challenge works to the players at the event.

Pictured below is Steph McEvoy, Professional Golfer, playing on the LET Access Tour taking her shot on the down hill 13th hole, before the next waiting four ball take their shots hoping to WIN themselves a prize!

If any of the players get closer to the pin than the Pro Golfer, they would WIN a prize of a Glenmuir Polo shirt. If they are lucky enough to get an ACE they would WIN the amazing prize of a 5* Luxury Golf Holiday to Mauritus courtesy of CHAKA Travel who have partnered up with EGC this year.

Having worked with European Golf Challenge for a few years now, its always great to see the Beat the Lady Pro being so well received, its a challenge that every golfer just loves to take part in. Especially with the new even better addition of the fabulous holiday that is also up for grabs with this competition.
